Producer

The Delamain vineyard stretches across the finest plots in the Cognac region, benefiting from a temperate oceanic climate ideal for viticulture. The clay-limestone soils, rich in minerals, impart a unique aromatic complexity to the grapes. The meticulously tended vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly practices, resulting in high-quality grapes essential for the production of their eaux-de-vie. Each harvest is carried out by hand, guaranteeing rigorous selection of the bunches.

Owner and history

The Delamain house has been run by the Delamain family for several generations, with an unwavering passion for the art of distillation. The current owners perpetuate the family legacy by ensuring that every stage of production upholds the values of quality and authenticity. They are committed to a sustainable approach, seeking to preserve the terroir and promote environmentally friendly practices. Their dedication to excellence is reflected in every bottle, making Delamain a respected and admired name in the world of cognac.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Delamain cognacs follows rigorous traditional methods. After harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice, which then ferments to produce a fresh and light white wine. This wine is distilled in copper pot stills, a method that preserves its aromatic richness. Aging takes place in oak barrels, where the eaux-de-vie mature slowly, absorbing the tannins and aromas of the wood. This often lengthy process is essential for developing the complexity and finesse characteristic of Delamain cognacs.
