        An Exceptional Terroir

The vineyard extends over approximately 65 hectaresThis makes it one of the largest estates in the Côte de Beaune. Its strength lies in the fragmentation of its plots, located in prestigious appellations:

        • Famous place names: THE domaine owns vineyards on legendary plots such as The Charms Above, Les Perrières, or even the famous Meursault du Château.

        • Diversity of names: Beyond Meursault, the château produces wines at Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton And Puligny-Montrachet.

        • Corton-Charlemagne: THE domaine also cultivates vineyards in Grand Cru, the top of the Burgundian hierarchy.

        Precision Viticulture

Since its acquisition by the Halley family in 2012, the domaine has begun a profound qualitative transformation:

        • Organic Farming: The vineyard is managed using organic farming methods (certified since the 2019 vintage), with particular attention paid to biodiversity and soil cultivation.

        • Parcel selection: Each plot is vinified separately to express the exact typicity of its "climat"(the Burgundian term to designate a specific terroir).

THE Château and its Historic Cellars

The site itself is an architectural masterpiece. While the current building dates mainly from the 19th centuryIt rests on much older foundations.

        • The Cellars: This is the hidden treasure of domaine. The cellars extend beneath the château and its dependencies, some dating from the 12th centuryThey can house up to 800 barrels and more 2,000,000 bottlesoffering optimal aging conditions thanks to perfect natural humidity and temperature.

        • The Paulée of Meursault: THE château is historically linked to this world-famous event, hosting the famous end-of-harvest luncheon every year.

        The Style of Wines

The style of Château de Meursault has evolved towards more purity and tension.

        • The Whites: They are renowned for their balance between the typical creaminess of Meursault and a great mineral precision.

        • The Reds: Less well-known than white wines but just as high-quality, they are distinguished by their elegance and their aging potential.

THE Château Meursault is one of the few estates in Burgundy to hold the title of "Château", a less common name in this region than in Bordeaux.
