    Tasting notes

The 2020 Château Clinet is a deep, almost black, red. On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruit, cocoa, and spice intertwine, promising a beautiful complexity. On the palate, this wine reveals a velvety texture, with silky tannins and a lovely fullness. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a delicate imprint of candied fruit and dark chocolate.

    Food & wine pairings

This wine pairs perfectly with duck breast with red berries or a mature cheese.

The Château Clinet vineyard is situated on clay-gravel soil, ideal for growing Bordeaux grape varieties. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated with care, respecting natural cycles. The region's oceanic climate, with hot summers and mild winters, promotes optimal grape ripening. This attention to detail contributes to producing high-quality wines that faithfully reflect their terroir.

    Owner and history

Currently, Château Clinet is managed by the Laborde family, who have preserved the estate's heritage and reputation. Their commitment to quality and authenticity is reflected in every bottle produced. The family has invested in modern techniques while maintaining winemaking traditions, thus guaranteeing the continued excellence of Château Clinet wines. Their passion for wine and their respect for the terroir are at the heart of their philosophy.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Clinet is carried out using a traditional approach, respecting artisanal methods. The grapes are harvested by hand and then carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, preserving the aromas and freshness of the fruit. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, for a period of 12 to 18 months, in order to bring complexity and structure to the wine. Each step is carefully considered to enhance the expression of the terroir.
