Yquem can stand on its own. It's a superb bottle that can be enjoyed on its own, to fully appreciate the complexity of its aromas. If you want to pair the wine, forget about dessert for a while! It can be enjoyed from the beginning of the meal with foie gras, but also throughout the meal with lobster, shellfish, white fish, roasted white meat with mild spices, or with a cheese board, especially with aged Comté or Roquefort...
