Tasting notes

For example, pair this wine with osso buco. The aromas and flavors of the south blend perfectly with this vintage.

Owner and history

The vineyard is located on the Marbuzet plateau and covers approximately 75 hectares. Its neighbors are Château Cos d'Estournel and Château Montrose. The estate overlooks the Gironde estuary from a hill composed of Günzian gravel over a clay-limestone subsoil. The vineyard is planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (40%), with a small amount of Cabernet Franc (10%).

Vinification and aging

The harvest at the château begins late, once the grapes have reached over-ripeness. As a result, the wines are aged in new oak barrels. This process imparts a distinctive character, power, and exotic aromas to the wines.
