The Pavillon Blanc vines are located on a former plot originally dedicated to red wine production. The soil is composed of very dense Günzian gravel. The subsoil is limestone, which is a typical characteristic of the appellation's terroir. Pavillon Blanc is also considered one of the best white wines of the Left Bank.
