    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process Petrus The 1996 vintage was crafted with exemplary rigor. The harvest was done by hand, with meticulous sorting of the grapes. After complete destemming, alcoholic fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for precise temperature management. The wine was then aged in oak barrels, approximately 50% of which were new, for 18 to 24 months. This process imparts structure and complexity to the wine while preserving the terroir's identity. Every step, from vineyard to bottling, was orchestrated to guarantee the excellence of the final product.
