Owner and history

Maison J. Vignier is a discreet and highly respected estate located in Cramant, in the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs. It is the story of a meeting between a family tradition rooted in the terroir and a modern, almost scientific, vision of winemaking. The Vignier family cultivates the vines in Champagne for several generations (dating back to the 16th century), but the "J. Vignier" brand as we know it today is the result of the collaboration between Jean-Marc Vignier, heir to the domaine, and Sebastian Nickel, a passionate oenologist. The approach: Their philosophy is based on patience and observation. They define themselves less as "manufacturers" of champagne than as companions to the local area. Independence: This is a human-scale operation that prioritizes extreme quality and geological precision over mass production.

Vinification and aging

Contrary to la cuvée "Les Jardins d'Elise" comes from the Côte des Blancs, "Les Abbesses" comes from the Coteaux du Sézannais, more precisely from the village of Vindey.

The team's opinion

La cuvée "Les Abbesses" from Maison J. Vignier is a unique expression that leaves behind the lands of Cramant to explore a more secluded terroir. Blanc de Blancs is an invitation to discovery, a sensory journey to the heart of the Champagne, where elegance and freshness meet in perfect balance.
