    Owner and history

    Covering a total area of ​​78 hectares, the vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte are planted on Günzian gravel soil. This exceptional terroir lies at the heart of a preserved biodiversity thanks to the planting of hedges, forests, and beehives all around the vines. The vines are on average 38 years old.

    Vinification and aging

    - Gravity-fed vatting of whole berries
    - Whole berry vinification, extraction with manual punch-downs to preserve the purity of the fruit
    - Aged in barrels for 18 months (60% new barrels)
