The vineyard of Domaine The Rectorie vineyard flourishes on steep slopes overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The terroir is composed of schist, a poor, well-drained soil that forces the vines to draw nutrients from deep within the soil. This unique terroir imparts exceptional minerality and complexity to the wines. climat The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Sea breezes play a vital role, bringing coolness and limiting disease. Sun exposure is optimal, allowing for perfect grape ripening.

Owner and history

THE Domaine Domaine de la Rectorie is a family estate, passed down through generations. Today, a passionate family safeguards this exceptional winemaking heritage. Their commitment to quality and respect for the environment is reflected in every bottle. They perpetuate ancestral know-how while integrating modern winemaking techniques. Their goal is to produce authentic wines that express the unique character of the Collioure terroir.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine The wines of the Rectorie are produced with the utmost care, respecting tradition. The grapes are harvested by hand to select only the finest. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with rigorous temperature control. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for an undisclosed period. This stage allows the tannins to soften and the aromas to develop greater complexity. Domaine The Rectory favours a low-intervention approach, in order to preserve the natural expression of the terroir.
