The Viognier vines that make up this Condrieu come from old plots, often over 30 years old, rooted in clay-limestone soils. This unique terroir, bathed in the Rhône sunshine, offers ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen. The climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, promotes the aromatic expression of the grape variety, while the region's steep slopes ensure good drainage, essential for the health of the vines.

    Owner and history

Stéphane Ogier, the current owner, has successfully perpetuated the family legacy while infusing it with his own personal vision. Through tireless work and unwavering passion, he has elevated the estate to one of the finest in the Rhône Valley. His commitment to quality wine, respectful of the environment, and his desire to authentically express the terroir make him a leading ambassador for the Condrieu appellation. Today, with the support of his father, Michel, he continues to explore new avenues to enhance the richness of their vineyards.

    Vinification and aging

For this 2018 Condrieu, the grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring rigorous selection of the best bunches. After gentle pressing, the juice is vinified in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and fruitiness of the Viognier. Aging, lasting 8 to 10 months, takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new. This method gives the wine a beautiful complexity while respecting the authenticity of the terroir. Regular lees stirring enriches the wine, adding richness and roundness, while maintaining a lovely vibrancy on the palate.
