Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Cos d'Estournel It's an art. The grapes, harvested by hand, are destemmed and crushed with care. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats to preserve the aromas. Aging, which lasts approximately 18 months, occurs in oak barrels, 50% of which are new. This meticulous process refines the wine, enriches its aromatic profile, and harmonizes the tannins. Every step, from vineyard to bottle, is carefully considered to offer a wine of great elegance.
