All of Girardin's Grands Vins are produced from vines cultivated according to the principles of sustainable viticulture.

Owner and history

The history of Maison Vincent Girardin is quite recent. In 1980, at the age of 19, Vincent Girardin, from a winegrowing family in Santenay since the 17th century, wanted to fly on his own and started with the two hectares of vines inherited from his parents. In 2012, Vincent Girardin sold his business to a long-standing partner of the House. Mr. Nié, President of the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois in Beaune, naturally decided to rely on the small team of nine people who had been loyal for many years. Eric Germain continues to produce the wines in the style of the estate, and Marco Caschera represents them worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Vincent Girardin is an art that blends tradition and innovation. After a manual harvest, the grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, allowing for precise temperature management. Aging in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months gives the wine its structure and complexity. Respect for the fruit and the expression of the terroir is central to the team's approach, guaranteeing wines of exceptional quality.
