Owner and history

The Domaine Yves Cuilleron vineyard in Côte-Rôtie stretches across steep, rugged slopes, making vineyard work particularly demanding. The Madinière cuvée comes from granite soils covered with schist, giving the wines unparalleled minerality and depth. Optimal sunshine combined with the Rhône winds allows for a slow and gradual ripening of the grapes, guaranteeing a perfect balance between concentration and freshness. Yves Cuilleron prioritizes environmentally friendly viticulture, favoring sustainable practices that preserve biodiversity and soil health.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested by hand, with rigorous selection of fully ripe berries. After traditional vinification in open vats, the Madinière cuvée is aged for 18 months in barrels, some of which are new. This maturation process imparts a silky texture and beautiful aromatic complexity while preserving the pure expression of the fruit and terroir.
