Château Angélus, A grand cru On the road to organic!

First Grand Cru Classé In Saint-Emilion, the Château Angélus announced the complete conversion of its vineyard to organic farming.

This is a first among the elite of Saint-Emilion, the Grand Cru Classé HAS Château Angélus decided to convert to organic farming. For several years, the 42-hectare vineyard has been cultivated with respect for the environment, but it is the results obtained in the neighboring vineyard of Château Bellevue, who finally convinced Boüard's team.

Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal and Thierry Grenié de Boüard, leaders of Château Angélus and co-owners of Château Bellevue decided to protect the "magnificent ecosystem" present at Château Angélus. The conversion to organic farming was therefore a natural step and will be led by Hubert de Boüard de Laforest's team. While the conversion takes place over 3 years, the Château Angélus announces that its first organic wine will be released within 4 to 5 years. A new milestone for the Bordeaux vineyards!

Château Angélus was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé A in 2012. Accompanied by Château Pavie, he is propelled to the top of the Saint-Emilion classification pyramid and joins the legendary Château Cheval Blanc And Château Ausonius.
