Robert Parker steps down

Robert Parker, the founder of Wine Advocate In 1978, he would no longer return to Bordeaux to taste the wines, neither en primeur nor bottled. Neal Martin, who succeeded him for the 2014 Bordeaux En Primeur campaign, will now fully assume this responsibility. His tasting notes are eagerly awaited by professionals worldwide, as the first 2015 En Primeur wines are released in Bordeaux.

The Wine Advocate newspaper specifies that Robert Parker will continue to preside over the newspaper he founded 38 years ago and to focus on Northern California wines (Napa Valley and Sonoma). Several publications are expected in the coming weeks, notably on the rerating of the 2006 and 2013 bottled vintages.

Neal Martin, Robert Parker's successor
