Viticulture and winemaking

Meticulous craftsmanship

The estate prides itself on cultivating its vines insustainable agricultureNo chemical treatment is used, in favor of a more natural treatment, which reduces the reproduction and egg-laying of harmful insects (white butterfly).

The work is done manually, particularly the harvest. Pruning and winemaking are carried out in the traditional way. Placed in stainless steel tanks, the grapes undergo regular punch-downs (on average twice a day). The wine is aged in oak barrels., ranging from 12 to 15 months for Chardonnay, compared to 15 to 18 months for Pinot Noir.

Denis Rozat, today, at the head of production, perpetuatesthe excellent reputation of the Bertagna estateby offering exceptional wines.
