In 1775, Joseph Bouchard acquired his first vines in Volnay, in the renowned "Caillerets" vineyard, thus initiating the establishment of the family estate. His desire to create an exceptional estate...Côte d'OrIt then passes through generations. Thus, new acquisitions located in the most beautiful villages are added over the centuries.

The Château's cellars date back to the 15th century. Located 10 meters underground, they have walls 7 meters thick. They offer the Grands Crus a natural and protective environment, ideal for peaceful aging, complementing the meticulous winemaking process.Bouchard Père & FilsIn addition, they house a unique collection of over 2,000 bottles dating back to the 19th century. The oldest and most iconic bottle in the collection is a Meursault Charmes 1846.

The estate, comprising 450 plots totaling 130 hectares of vineyards, covers almost all of the appellations.BurgundianThe plots extend for about fifty kilometers from north to south like a mosaic, which protectsBouchard Père & Filsagainst very localized weather events such as hail, storms, or frost. This advantageous structure, however, requires that teams be constantly present across the entire estate to ensure a comprehensive overview. This collection of plots thus benefits from year-round attention. The grapes are hand-picked into small crates to prevent crushing, then meticulously sorted twice.

Also, in its pursuit of excellence, the house invested in 2005 in theSaint-Vincent winemaking cellarIn Savigny-lès-Beaune, over one hundred different wines are vinified using this high-performance system. Based on the principle of gravity, it provides the wines with natural access to 138 maceration tanks. Committed to sustainable agriculture since 2002, the winery obtained the "Certified Sustainable Agriculture" designation in 2015.High Environmental ValueThis last level represents the most demanding level of environmental certification for farms.
