    Owner and history

    Château Smith Haut Lafitte is located within the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Through acquisitions, the estate has expanded to its current size of 80 hectares. Since 2019, the château has been certified organic, but it goes even further by using biodynamic principles for the past 10 years.

    Vinification and aging

    - Hand-harvested grapes, in small crates
    - Inertial pressing
    - Cold static settling followed by fermentation in French oak barrels (50% new)
    - Aged for 12 months on lees with stirring in barrels (50% new and 50% one-year-old)
