The Devillard family, men and womenpassionate and lovers of the world of wineFor five generations, they have owned vineyards in the Burgundy region, including:
- Chamirey Castle in Mercurey,
- Domaine de la Ferté in Givry,
- Domaine des Perdrix in Côte de Nuits and
- Domaine de la Garenne in Mâconnais.
Over the years, they have demonstrated exacting standards and consistency in the quality of their wines. This philosophy is perpetuated in order to produce the greatest possible wines, with the most authentic expression of the terroir.
Since 2011, the family has embarked on the adventure ofwine tourismIn Mercurey, it was a resounding success.
History of the estate
the origin of wine
The Château de Chamirey estate, planted on the best terroirs of Mercurey, includes37 hectares(27 hectares of reds and 10 hectares of whites), including 15 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards. The estate owns6 Premier Crus of Mercureyincluding the monopole appellations: the Premier Cru "Les Ruelles" (red) and the Premier Cru "La Mission" (white). Château de Chamirey was built in the 18th century and belonged to the family of the Marquis de Jouennes d'Herville. Today, it is the5th generationAmaury and Aurore Devillard are the owners of this Château. Over the years, the Domaine was expanded into the Mercurey terroirs to reach its current size of 37 hectares.

The vines are planted at10,000 plants per hectareIn keeping with Burgundian tradition, the vineyard boasts the highest planting density of all the major wine regions and practices that guarantee high quality. The vines are cultivated using sustainable farming methods and without the use of pesticides. The average age of the estate's vines is35 years old.Special care is taken in the vineyard and during the winemaking process.
