Vosne-Romanée is a village appellation in the Côte de Nuits . It has 14 Premier Cru vineyards and 6 Grand Cru vineyards. In total, 152 hectares of vines are planted there, almost a third of which are Premier Cru!
The red wines produced here have an intense color ranging from ruby to deep purple. The bouquet evokes ripe fruit and spices, as well as small red and black berries. With age, it will evolve towards kirsch-soaked cherry and wilder notes of leather and fur. The palate is velvety and elegant. Sometimes austere in its early years, this is a wine for aging that needs time to reveal its full potential.
Among the most famous representatives of the appellation, we can mention Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux or Domaine Anne Gros .
