The Vosne-Romanée vineyard is located north of Nuits-Saint-Georges and south of Vougeot. Both the communes of Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Échezeaux are entitled to use the Vosne-Romanée appellation, which produces only red wines.

Owner and history

It took Louis Henri Denis Jadot about thirty years to found the House in 1859 and establish the values of a family business. By developing the wine trade towards Northern European markets, he contributed to the renown of Burgundy wines even then. Subsequently, several generations would succeed one another at the head of the family business.

Vinification and aging

The village of Vosne-Romanée is often considered the "pearl of the Côte d'Or". The House Louis Jadot, thanks to its precise winemaking, it succeeds here in capturing the nobility of this terroir without the oak taking over the fruit.
