Located in the heart of the prestigious Côte de Beaune, in Meursault, the Domaine Jean-Marie Bouzereau embodies the excellence of a family tradition anchored for several generations. Jean-Marie, who took over the domaine in 1994, cultivates know-how that combines respect for the terroir and technical precision.

An Exceptional Terroir

THE domaine extends over approximately 9 hectares, primarily located in the commune of Meursault, but it also owns remarkable plots in neighboring villages. This diversity allows for a rich selection to be offered:

  • Meursault: The famous "Charmes", "Goutte d'Or" and "Poruzot".

  • Puligny-Montrachet : For its refinement and elegance.

  • Volnay and Pommard: For characterful, structured and deep red wines.

Philosophy and Viticulture

THE domaine favours an approach reasoned and traditionalJean-Marie Bouzereau takes meticulous care of his vines:

  • Soil tillage: To promote microbial life and force the roots to draw minerals from deep within.

  • Yield control: To guarantee optimal concentration of aromas.

  • Precise breeding: The wines are aged in oak barrels (with a moderate proportion of new barrels) for 12 to 18 months, in order to allow the terroir to express itself without the wood dominating the fruit.

The Style of Wines

The wines of domaine are renowned for their balance and purity:

  1. White wines (Chardonnay): They are distinguished by a beautiful mineral tension, a silky texture, and notes of toasted hazelnuts, white flowers, and citrus. They have excellent aging potential.

  2. The Reds (Pinot Noir): They express the lusciousness of red fruit with fine tannins and a typically Burgundian elegance.

Tasting notes:
If you have the opportunity to taste his Meursault "Charmes", you will find there the very essence of domaine : a generous richness supported by an incredible saline freshness.
