Tasting notes

The Ruinart Discovery Case offers a trio of luminous wines, from the brilliant gold of the R de Ruinart to the subtle salmon hue of the Rosé. The aromas open with notes of citrus, white flowers, peach, and raspberry, depending on the cuvée. On the palate, freshness prevails, carried by a fine effervescence and a silky texture. The delicate and persistent finish reveals the purity of the Chardonnay and the elegance of the Ruinart style.

Food & wine pairings

These champagnes enhance raw fish, sashimi, seafood, delicate poultry, fine aperitifs and light fruit desserts.

Producer

Producer

Ruinart selects its grapes from the finest terroirs of Champagne, primarily the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, renowned for their chalky soils that impart tension, minerality, and freshness. The chalk, a true geological signature, lends the wines their finesse and aromatic purity. The vines destined for Ruinart's cuvées are meticulously cultivated, following a sustainable approach focused on fruit quality and the most authentic expression of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Owner and history

Now part of the LVMH group, Maison Ruinart is led by a management team committed to quality, sustainability, and modernity, while respecting a heritage spanning nearly three centuries. Their vision combines technical excellence, responsible innovation, and the promotion of Chardonnay, the House's emblematic grape variety. Their contribution is reflected in champagnes of remarkable consistency, rare aromatic precision, and a firm commitment to preserving the terroirs for future generations.

Vinification and aging

At Ruinart, winemaking relies on rigorous control of fermentation, gentle pressing, and the preferential use of reserve wines to ensure the consistency of the house style. Aging on lees in historic chalk cellars imparts roundness, fine bubbles, and aromatic depth to all the cuvées.
The R de Ruinart, Blanc de Blancs, and Rosé benefit from extended aging and precise dosage, tailored to each cuvée. The blends highlight the freshness of the Chardonnay, the structure of the Pinot Noir, and the balance sought by the House. Each champagne reveals a distinct yet coherent expression of the Ruinart style.
