The vineyard of Château Fuissé stretches across south-facing slopes, enjoying optimal sunshine. The soils are primarily composed of granite and clay, giving the wines a unique minerality. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care, respecting the principles of sustainable viticulture. Each plot is worked individually, allowing the best of each terroir to be drawn. The diversity of microclimates within the vineyard contributes to the complexity of the wines.

Today, the domaine is run by the Vincent family, who perpetuate the family tradition while bringing a modern vision to vineyard management. Passionate about their land, they work with deep respect for the environment and the terroir.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Fuissé is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modernity. The grapes are harvested by hand, then carefully sorted to retain only the very best. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the fruity aromas. A brief aging in oak barrels may be applied to certain vintages, adding further complexity without masking the Gamay's character. This care at every stage of the process guarantees high-quality wines that are true to their terroir.
