Owner and history

The "Vieilles Vignes" cuvée is made from a blend of several vineyards: Les Haies Martels, Les Batteraux, La Vallée du Roi and Le Clos de Chézelet. The vineyard covers 5.6 hectares of vines with an average age of 50 years. The soil is stony and granitic, resting on a subsoil of Touraine tuffeau limestone. Since 2008, the vineyard has been certified organic, and subsequently biodynamic.

Vinification and aging

- Manual leaf removal and sorting on the vine
- Hand-harvested at full grape ripeness and first sorting in the vineyard
- 30-day maceration
- Malolactic fermentation in vats
- Aged for 6 months on fine lees in large oak casks over 10 years old
