These Grand Cru wines of Burgundy share a superb presence. The great wines of the Clos Vougeot appellation combine elegant finesse with a full-bodied palate. Renowned estates such as Faiveley, Bouchard, Jadot, and prestigious names like Château de La Tour offer superb wines for aging. These great Burgundy wines can be discovered at Cavissima.

While Clos Vougeot is the largest of Burgundy 's Grand Cru appellations at 50.49 hectares, it is also the most fragmented, with nearly 60 individual estates. Located in the commune of Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits , between Flagey-Echézeaux and Chambolle-Musigny, Clos Vougeot is enclosed by a perimeter wall. To the north of the Clos lie the Musigny and Grand-Echézeaux appellations.

The Château du Clos Vougeot is home to the famous Chapter of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin : it is a unique reception venue that every Burgundy enthusiast should visit sooner or later.

Made exclusively from Pinot Noir , the grand vin of Clos Vougeot offers aging potential of up to 20 years. It exudes aromas of raspberry, blackberry, wild mint, and licorice. In its youth, it is often sapid and therefore pairs perfectly with game or red meats in sauce.

Cavissima has selected several high-quality producers from this appellation for you to cellar without hesitation.

The Castle of La Tour

He is the only vineyard owner to vinify his Clos de Vougeot wines within the walled vineyard itself. A guarantee of quality, he specializes extensively in the appellation and owns more than 6 hectares of vines spread across 4 parcels, making him by far the largest producer. Each year, he produces a Clos de Vougeot Vieilles Vignes cuvée and a Clos de Vougeot cuvée.

Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux

Owning vineyards in the northern part of the "Grand Maupertuis" appellation, undoubtedly one of the highest quality areas, Pascal Lachaux produces wines of rare finesse with velvety, silky tannins. These wines are among the finest bottles of the appellation.

Faiveley Estate

With over 1.28 hectares of vines spread across three parcels of distinct character, Faiveley 's Clos de Vougeot offers a truly exceptional expression of this appellation. The more clay-rich Baudes sector contributes power, the "14 journaux" sector provides both power and sapidity, while the Maupertuis sector brings finesse and elegance.
