Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Glenelly is carried out with meticulous attention to detail, respecting Bordeaux tradition. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by extended maceration to extract aromas and tannins. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, for an undisclosed period. This stage allows the tannins to soften, adds complexity, and develops subtle aromas of vanilla and toast. The wine is then bottled and aged for a further period before release.

The team's opinion

A red wine of rare elegance, which captures the essence of the Stellenbosch terroir with an inimitable Bordeaux touch.
