Meursault is a highly regarded village appellation in Burgundy. It is located about ten kilometers from Beaune. Approximately 400 hectares of vines are cultivated there: 95% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Noir.

The white wines have a brilliant golden color with green highlights, evolving towards bronze with age. The bouquet is floral, with notes of toasted dried fruit and flint, as well as citrus and honey. The palate is balanced between richness and freshness, with hints of hazelnut. Meursault white is a great wine, crafted for aging.


Domaine Michelot

Founded in Meursault six generations ago, Domaine Michelot now comprises 19 hectares of vines, including six Premier Cru vineyards. It is cultivated using sustainable practices, with partial cover cropping, tilling, and leaf thinning. The grapes are harvested by hand , and the wine is then aged for 16 to 18 months, first in barrels and then in tanks.

Domaine Michelot produces 17 wines: a red and a white Burgundy , a red and a white Santenay Premier Cru , a Puligny-Montrachet, and 11 Meursaults. Among the latter are four Meursault Premier Crus : “Charmes”, “Genevrières”, “Poruzot”, and “Perrières”. Seven Meursault Villages wines are also produced, including a monopole: “Clos Saint Félix”.


Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils

Bouchard Père et Fils is one of Burgundy's leading names. This wine house was founded in 1731 in Beaune. The first vines were acquired in 1775, at which point Bouchard Père et Fils also became an estate. Since 1820, it has been based at the Château de Beaune , whose cellars offer optimal storage conditions for the wine. Today, the estate comprises 130 hectares of vines spread across Burgundy's most prestigious appellations. In 2015, it was awarded the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification.

In Meursault, Bouchard Père et Fils offers two village appellation wines and five Premier Crus : “Charmes”, “Genevrières”, “Les Gouttes d'Or”, “Perrières”, and “Le Porusot”. All are white wines. Furthermore, the oldest vintage in the estate is a Meursault from 1846!
