The vineyards of Domaine Comte Lafond's vines are rooted in clay-limestone soil, typical of the Sancerre appellation. Owner and history

Count Lafond, ancestor of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, was the first in his line to purchase vineyards in the Loire Valley in the 18th century. Originally from Burgundy, he decided to diversify his wine estates. Since then, the Domaine Comte Lafond has continued to grow and produces great Sancerre white, red and rosé wines.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Comte Lafond is crafted with meticulous care. The hand-harvested grapes are carefully sorted before vinification. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged on its fine lees to develop its complexity and aromatic richness. This painstaking process preserves the terroir's identity while offering an elegant structure and a long, lingering finish.
