The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is situated on clay-limestone soils, typical of the Côte d'Or, which promote optimal grape ripening. The old vines, often over 40 years old, are carefully cultivated to ensure low yields, thus concentrating the aromas and complexity of the wines. The region's continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, contributes to the grapes achieving excellent ripeness while preserving their freshness.

Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the Faiveley family, who have preserved its heritage while instilling a modern vision. Brothers Erwan and Benoît Faiveley, passionate about their terroir, are committed to quality, ensuring that their expertise is passed on to future generations. They take great pride in revealing the unique character of each plot, thus offering wines that speak for themselves and their origin.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is an art steeped in tradition. The grapes are carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats to encourage the expression of aromas. Aging for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels, some of which are new, gives the wine its complexity and character. This meticulous process allows the tannins to integrate with finesse and ensures a beautiful harmony between the fruit and the oak.
